My approach:
In my private practice, Between2Mirrors Counselling & Coaching, I take on a holistic approach that includes the mind, body and soul. I offer non-judgmental support as my clients overcome obstacles in their lives that may be preventing them from having better relationships with others and most importantly, themselves. I provide one on one counselling and coaching……
I want to support others on their journeys of living a purposeful, fulfilling life while honoring their pasts. I firmly believe that we all have the power to change how we view ourselves and the world around us, to reach balance, and our full potential.
I also draw on my own professional and personal experiences with embodiment, belonging, alignment, spirituality, depression and anxiety.
“Existential therapy blends counselling with philosophy.”
This means it helps people with the challenges of living: finding meaning, direction, and purpose. Connecting with life and others better. Becoming stronger in the face of one’s challenges. Shaping and changing oneself to live more fully.
“The quest for meaning is the noblest and most important journey of your life, and existential therapy can offer you the means to reach your destination.”
In my practice I draw from Existential Therapy, Trans-personal Psychology, Humanistic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Psycho-dynamic therapy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Based Therapy.

My practice is guided by the following principles:
- All people possess intrinsic worth and have the capacity to realize this.
- All individuals are worthy of respect. My therapy space is one of acceptance and safety. Gender, race, sexual orientation, age, religion, relationship and family status pose no barrier to the therapy process.
- Everyone has the ability to change; readiness depends on each individual.
- Clients take responsibility for their gains in counselling and for their personal successes; the counselor’s role is that of guide.
- Understanding comes first. If we jump prematurely to tools and strategies, clients are left with generic, depersonalized interventions.
- Most people benefit from counselling at some point in their lives. This includes counseling too! At its best, counselling is a healthy dialogue that identifies, promotes, and mobilizes clients’ strengths to reach personal goals.
- I follow the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Canadian Professional Counselling Association.
Further, I employ a bio-psychosocial-spiritual lens to my practice; I believe that people function best when there is harmony between body, mind, social situation and spiritual life.
